The 118,000-square-foot, 4,200-seat arena in Congress Heights is to be owned by the District and operated by Events DC. It will be the home of the WNBA’s Washington Mystics and the G-League’s Capitol City Go-Go’s as well as a practice facility for the NBA’s Washington Wizards. In addition, Events DC will host many concerts, sports and community events.

Construction for the arena began in February 2016. If all goes according to schedule, the facility will open next fall.
