Broccoli City Festival 2018: Music with a Mission

Music and food fans of all ages will enjoy Broccoli City Festival 2018, beginning at noon on Saturday, April 28 at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds. The lineup includes 11 acts: Migos, Miguel, Cardi B, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R., Nipsey Hussle, Rich the Kid, Lightshow, Grits and Biscuits, Hoodcelebrity, and Spicoli & Bombay. Festival-goers can also enjoy food from vendors that feature seasonal and local ingredients in their menu items.

Broccoli City is a social organization that aims to engage urban communities in higher standards of healthy, sustainable living through campaigns and events. BC Festival 2018 is part of Broccoli City Week, a full week of events that include:

  • a fitness run
  • an all-night art event
  • a conference co-hosted by Google DC and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The conference includes panel discussions on corporate responsibility and improving food access, culture, education, and environmental and economic sustainability in underserved communities.
