Los Tigres Del Norte are coming back to DC Armory! DC fans are so enthusiastic for the group’s unique sound that Los Tigres Del Norte has held a concert at DC Armory for the past three years of their North American Tour. This year they will rock the Armory on February 25.
The California-based Norteño group began performing as teens in the 1960s. Known for their passion, they once performed a 12-hour concert. Norteño style includes the accordion but Los Tigres Del Norte also integrate bolero, cumbia, rock rhythms, waltzes, and recordings of machine guns and sirens.
The band has been honored over the years by fans and music critics alike. They were named a BMI Icon at the 14th annual BMI Latin Awards. They’ve sold more than 30 million records, won seven Grammy Awards, six Latin Grammy Awards, and been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The band founded the Los Tigres del Norte Foundation to foster appreciation and preservation of Mexican and Mexican-American folklore.
